About Me

Well, let's see... I'm 27 and fancy free. I have my "kids" which are my two dogs, Wiggles and Petunia.I have a degree in fashion, and I've worked in fashion, and well, I guess I like fashion. I got my degree in 2005 and started up my own design line MichelleMade.com. It's currently not up and running, but I'm still working my cute little butt off to get it back up and making money. I mostly design what I call "girly stuff": dresses, skirts, and formal-wear. I've also done a lot of acessessory designing, mostly handbags and purses. I'll be posting pictures of my work up here so you can see it.I'm also a big history buff, and I'm back to school to get a degree in Humanities. I was studying History, but the school that I want to go to doesn't offer a degree in History, so I'm pursuing Humanities instead, with a focus on art. In addition to my fashion, I also do a little bit of drawing, sketching, and painting. I have done some modeling, but I'm NOT a model, I'm a fashion designer! I'm not against posing for photographers, it's just that I don't consider myself a model. Well, not entirely. :)In addition to everything else, I'm also in the process of writing a novella titled "Un Milione di Baci" which roughly translates from Italian into "love and kisses". It's a historical fiction story based on the Italian mafia in the 1920's. I'll be posting chapters here too, so you can read. Please critique and review. Be as honest as you want to be.I'm relatively content with my life right now. I have some major health problems, some that most people have never heard of, and I battle my health everyday of my life. Currently I'm seeking treatment for Bi-Polar Disorder, which I was just diagnosed with about four months ago. Everyday is a step forward for me. I talk about my health problems, if only to educate the public.

Right now I have Muse, Johnny Cash, Mika, Elton John, the Shins, Cursive, Bright Eyes, Zero 7, Elliot Smith, Mos Def, Gnarles Barkley, Frank Sinatra, Air,The Beatles, Beck, The White Stripes, Eric Clapton, The Monkees, Voltair, Depeche Mode and all kinds of other stuff playing on my iIPod. Call me eclectic!

Movies:

I like to laugh, scary movies are too much for me. I also really like documentaries and historical stuff.Some of my favorites: Serenity, every single James Bond movie, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, the Indiana Jones movies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Wedding Singer, and The Muppet Movie. I said I had eclectic taste!

Television:

Give me cartoons, cartoons, cartoons. Oh, and CSI, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, and Dr. Who. Yup, I'm a Nerd!I also really enjoy the History Channel and A & E. A nerd, but a cute nerd!

Books:

I don't think I can list a favorite book... there are too many that have inspired and influenced my life. Here are some of my favorites: The Thorn Birds, The Odessey, Oryx and Crake, In the Name of the Rose, The Historian, Dreamland, Devil in the White City, The Road to Wellville, Thou Art That, The Grapes of Wrath,the Dune series, Catch-22, The Picture of Dorian Grey, The Power of Myth, Heroes with a Thousand Faces, Masks of God, The Teahouse Fire.
