I suppose a bio should go here. Although I write those for other people, I haven't written one for myself. Isn't that typical?
*** Well, if there is a "Jill of all trades" with regards to varieties of writing, then call me Jill, b/c I have been a FREELANCE WRITER, more or less, since I graduated from college (FAMU) back in 1996. That's a decade! Where did the time go?
*** I will POST LINKS to the various publications that I write for, and I'm sure I'll have some mental spaces that need airing out as well, so hopefully my BLOG won't bore the BeJesus out of you. I will also post USEFUL CONTACTS in order to support businesses/causes/ventures I believe in so feel free to share some of yours with me,
*** I am also a PROFESSIONAL CHEF, classically trained, and working professionally since 1998 or so. I love food. I love the spiritual/sensual/physical connection of food. I love to COOK food. I love to SERVE food. I love to WRITE and TALK about food. My dream job would be as a FOOD WRITER AND COOK BOOK AUTHOR, and as the host of a television cooking show. I have some things up my sleeve as we speak, so if this is your cup of tea, holla at ya' girl.
*** I'm a wannabe WORLD TRAVELLER, open-minded and working on myself all the time mentally, spiritually, emotionally. I'd attempt to say something profound, but it whenever people do that it comes off as corny, so I'll resist the urge.
*** Metaphysical, spiritual, intuitive... yeah all that's me. Mostly organic, sometimes vegetarian, big fan of wine, pizza, and friendly banter. I love chickens... not to eat, but to have around. They are hilarous. And the best egg is a fresh egg.
*** Play sudoko, chess, tonk and spades. Nuff said.
