ALESSIO COLI' saxophonist, was born in 1977. Smooth jazz, funky, R&B, pop and rock, house professional performing artist. In 1999 he graduated from the U.M., Universtiy of Music in Rome. He had followed musical studies with saxophone since he was eight and he has played with many brass band from Puglia at once. When he was 14 he played with pop band, performing with famous singers such as Franco Califano, Franco Simone, The Platters etc..In 1997 he moved to Rome where he studied with professional italian and strangers artists, for example Francesco Marini, Sandro Satta, Maurizio Gianmarco, Marco Conti, Rosario Giuliani, Xavier Girotto, Stefano D..Anna, Rita Marcotulli, Massimo Moriconi, Maurizio Lazzaro, etc.. In Rome he joined jazz masters (Marvin Stemm, Bob Berg, Danilo Rea, Frank Gambale, Ellade Bandini) and he recorded and performed with many artists.
In 1998 he joined the theatre collaborating with ..The Globe Company..: He experienced the stage with ..Maria Maddalena in concerto..; he played and arranged songs composed by F.Marini, lyrics by Camilleri. He also recorded the soundtracks.. album produced by Franco Angeli.
In 1999 as first alto, he performed with the ..Testaccio Jazz Orchestra.. joining manifestations in Italy and Rome.
In the same year he collaborated with ..Il Carro dell..Orsa.. theatre company as composer for the play ..Sex sax ..n love.., performing at the Abaco theatre for 6 months in 2000.
Since than he established in Salento where he performed from pop music to house, collaborating with the best Italian and strangers djs, Little Loui Vega, Tony Humpries, Todd Terry, Hector Romeo, Martin Solveig, Ricky Morrison, MBG, etc..
June,2000: Saint-Tropez, Nizza, Cannes. Music festival.Performing.
January,2001: La Havana, Cuba. Manifestations and master classes about Cuban music.
June-sept,2001; Denmark, Germany. Performing.
Summer 2002: Performing with Franco Simone and Carlotta.
2003: He joined the ..Anima.. project, collaborating with G.Salvatore, Danilo Cherni, Derek Wilson,Vito De Lorenzis, Franco Chiriv.., Elisabetta Macchia and Marco Bardoscia.
July 2004: Lecce art-festival winner performing with Giusy Col.. Quintet.
2005:Passion project with the Vocalist Telemaco.
2006:Borgia Big BandSince 2005 he is a master of saxophone and improvisation at the ..Yamaha Music School.. (Galatina-Le) and at the ..MODERN MUSIC ACADEMY (MAGLIE-LE)
