Music is my world

About Me

plain layout @ Unique MySpace Layouts - Movie Layouts - Music Layouts - More MySpace Layouts! - MySpace Tools

Music mad. I work to fund my gigging. What else do you need to know?

My Interests

Music, music and more music. That'll do for starters! Apart from music ... cinema, travel (in line with my music obsession, I love going to new venues in different cities), languages, jackets (guess that's my equivalent of the shoe-obsession), football (the "mighty" Northampton Town are my team and I also follow the (mis)fortunes of the Saints in rugby union), seeing friends.

I'd like to meet:

You! If you're reading this, then a great big "hello!" from me.

Music:

So many bands, so little space ... Little Ze (check them out, they're amazing!), Doves, Elbow, Charlatans, Ian Brown, Stone Roses, Ryan Adams, Jeff Buckley, Seth Lakeman, Guillemots, Raconteurs, Flaming Lips, the Killers, Radiohead, Sunshine Underground, Little Man Tate, Vega 4, Snow Patrol, Snowfight in the City Centre, Ghosts, Liam Frost and the Slowdown Family, BRMC ... apologies to those I've temporarily neglected!

Movies:

You know that feeling when someone says "what's your favourite film?" and all of a sudden, you feel like you've never seen a film in your life, even though that's clearly not the case? That's me now. What do I like? Lost In Translation, the Princess Bride, Star Wars, Breakfast At Tiffany's, Withnail and I, Goodbye Lenin!

Television:

Top Gear, Strictly Come Dancing (there's two extremes for you!), Northern Exposure (back in the distant past) was another fave. To be honest, I don't watch much tv (as more often than not I'm out seeing a band!)

Books:

Fave book is Pride and Prejudice. Love reading but don't read much during term time. Love Harry Potter and will read the His Dark Materials trilogy before the films come out! Also like Yes Man (by Danny Wallace) and High Fidelity (by Nick Hornby)

Heroes:

My friends and family. And all my music idols as well.

My Blog

Wem-ber-ley (Sat 16th June)

What was your favourite gig?  I've always struggled with that question.  Ok, let me change it:  Can you name a few shows you've really enjoyed? Much easier: I've seen enough ...
