Her and her family deserve to rest.THE STORY: David Weir and Victoria Ramirez were an attractive couple in their early 20's living and working together in the San Fernando Valley suburbs of Los Angeles. The couple had met 7 years ago on a family boat cruise. They began dating during Victoria’s sophomore year of high school and continued through most of her senior year. It was sometime after Victoria’s senior prom the couple decided to give the relationship a break and went separate ways. They stayed in touch and David attended her high school graduation.Tragedy struck David when his younger brother, Albert, chose to take his own life, leaving the family in despair. Victoria returned and stood by David’s side and tried to console him. She had also been told that David had been consuming very large amounts of alcohol and was dying. Genuinely concerned and in love with David, they reconciled and Victoria moved in with David and his family in their home in Sherman Oaks.Victoria was a student at Bryman College with aspirations to become a surgical technician. Her fellow classmates and counselor described her as very bright, giving and sensitive. Victoria had confided in her counselor that she was troubled about some personal issues involving her relationship.Early in 2006 David was arrested on drug related charges. It was at that time Victoria requested a leave of absence from school to work as a bartender and help David at Lucerna, a bar owned by David's father, Lawrence Weir. However despite working and playing together, the relationship was falling apart according to friends and family.Victoria had recently made it clear to those close to her that it was her intention to leave David due to his involvement with other women, use and dealing of drugs, and the new crowd of people he had begun associating with. David has a criminal record for burglary, theft, and narcotics and is currently free on bail, according to Los Angeles Police Officer Martha Garcia.Patrons of the bar told police that the couple was known to argue and bicker, sometimes even at Lucerna. However, in spite of the arguments, the couple appeared to love each other. On 08/05/06 the pair arrived for work and alternated between socializing with the bar patrons and bartending duties. However it wasn’t long before casual conversation gave way to one of the couple’s arguments.Towards the end of the evening, David and Victoria left the bar and returned home to their residence in Sherman Oaks. Taking separate cars, the couple arrived home at around 2:00 a.m. according to police. However several bar patrons recall the couple leaving around 10:30 p.m. and recall David returning to the bar a few hours later to pick up something and leave with an unidentified person.Police believe that the argument from earlier in the evening was revisited and Victoria may have even tried to end the relationship. According to police, David produced a handgun, which was registered to him, and shot Victoria once in the head killing her almost instantly.Police say that moments after David shot Victoria he sped off in his dark gray 2003 Ford Mustang, California license plate number 5AXE735.David placed a call to his father Lawrence. Police say that David was crying as he told his father that he had shot Victoria and wasn’t sure if she was dead or alive. Lawrence told police that he immediately called David’s mother, Carmen, who lived at the home with David and Victoria. When Lawrence couldn’t reach Carmen, he left for the residence himself. That’s when he discovered Victoria’s body and called 911.Hours later, Lawrence called longtime friend Gino Dubois to pick up David at a nearby Rite-Aid pharmacy. Gino told police that he was unaware of what had happened but David immediately told him the whole story. David also told Gino that he had disposed of the murder weapon. The two men then met with Lawrence Weir’s lawyer, Anthony Brooklier to discuss a possible surrender. When David learned he could get up to fifteen years in prison for murdering Victoria, he decided that surrender was not an option. After breakfast, Gino told the police that he took David to the Town Center Theater in Encino,CA before going to meet with Lawrence Weir for guidance. Concerned for his son’s well being, Gino claims Lawrence asked him to go back to the theater to check on David. When Gino met back up with David, he told police that David left momentarily to make a phone from within the theater plaza and after that phone call David and Gino went their separate ways.According to police that was on 08/06/06 and it was the last time anyone has reported seeing admitted murderer David Allen Weir.LAPD is looking for the public’s assistance in locating David Weir. He may be armed and is to be considered dangerous. If you see David please do not attempt to approach him but rather contact LAPD or America’s Most Wanted. If David could murder a woman that he claims to have loved, the mother of his child, who knows what he would do to a stranger.Police say Weir was last spotted in San Diego, but since he may have access to his family’s fortune the possibilities are endless where he could go next.David and Victoria shared the birthday of September 2nd. David turned 24; Victoria was murdered before she could see her 22nd birthday.LAPD (877) ASK LAPD America's Most Wanted (800) CRIME TV http://amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=40129
