I am and an ordinary person who has been blessed with extaordinary friends. I love my Lord, my family and friends intensely. Playing the piano, writing, karaokeing and driving my co-workers insane are just some of the things I love to do.I'm a new bride, married on September 1, 2006. Ray is a best friend, a great cook and romantic lover. He is terribly smart and witty. He takes me on impromptu day trips, sips coffee and plays cribbage with me in quaint coffee shops, surprises me with unexpected dinner dates, and indulges my lust for handbags. He may very well live up to the promise he made on our honeymoon to spoil me rotten!I have been enjoying building my career as a dispensing optician. I earned my A.B.O. Certification in November of 2005. I have been with my current company for almost seven years and am very content. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a novelist, and I've written several short stories and some ok poetry. I still daydream about it, so, who knows, you may find me on the best sellers list, yet. I have another career venture that has been brewing for a few months. I may consider it. Ray changed careers in 2008, and it may take him to a different state. We are thinking, possibly, of the Pacific Northwest. If that happens, I may rethink the optician thing and try something new.I am shy by nature, but once I warm up to you, you can't shut me up! I've been told I'm loyal to a fault, and I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. It makes for a messy shirt, and there's the rub. I put on a brave front, but inside I am very insecure about myself. My family and close friends know this and are always so wonderful to remind me of my worth. I thank the Lord for them every day.I am grateful for my wonderful, albeit wacky parents who have and are supporting me in whatever endeavor I pursue, for my best friend who slaps me upside the head when I need it, and Starbucks! LOL Its a fun challenge to be a good wife and caring mother. I inherited two great kids when I married Ray. Andrew is in Scottsbluff and Cheryl is also in Huskerland, Wahoo to be exact. As I've stated above, my family is very important to me, as are my friends. I have a bro, Jason, and a sis, Charla, whom I love more than me! We were the Brown kids....be afraid....be very afraid. I also have wonderful brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and inherited a slew of fabulous nieces and nephews. I have friends who have stuck by me through thick and thin for five, ten, even twenty+ years. I have also had people who were in and out of my life so fast, yet made an impact that I still feel to this day. I have reconnected with some of those people and it is just fantastic! I hope and pray that I can be a good, positive, or if nothing else, humorous influence in others' lives.
