About Me
History was made very recently with the election of Barack Obama for President of the United States. I'm proud of America, but retain my bitterness for Louisiana. I won't repeat some of the ignorant things I've heard about this more-than-capable man. That's just another reason why I can't wait to pack up my things and head up north. I'm a little relieved that election season is over, but I don't know how I'm going to entertain myself now; election season is like the superbowl for me.
I spent my undergraduate career nose-deep in electrical engineering and physics books. These days I spend locked up in my office, studying tirelessly to receive my Master's degree in Medical Physics (don't know what it is? don't worry, no one does). Education is my number one priority and I plan to continue until I get my Ph.D. I have an unhealthy obsession with physics and I idolize Isaac Newton. That being said, I'm not a complete lame-o.
When I started my college education, I completely cut off the rest of the world. The hours of my life were nothing more than spaces to fill on a schedule with school work or personal research. Along the way, I have met several inspiring friends and learned that I was missing out on a lot. I'm still very busy and very dedicated to my school work but I know now that there's more to life than that. I respect people who are dedicated to their work and do well in school but I'm even more a fan of those who know how to have fun. NOTE: After multiple outings to bars and the like, I have discovered that I do not have a single coordinated bone in my body. If we ever go out and I start to dance, stay away from me; I'll kill your game.
I'm a bit shy but once you get to know me, I'll reveal my personality to you. I find violence and gory movies funny, and I have random outbursts that are only fueled by the amount of caffeine I consume. If you don't know me, you should because I'm freaking cool.
All my college jobs have been nerdy ones. I've been a physics tutor and I even worked for NASA for a couple semesters. Nowadays I'm doing Medical Physics Research. In particular, I'm writing C++ Monte Carlo code to simulate photon transport through CZT detectors. My code investigates charge-sharing and other issues that occurs in the pixels of these detectors. My major professor and I are proposing a new Breast CT system. I could go into the reasons for the new system but you stopped caring about five sentences ago.
My interests outside of school include 3D animation, drawing, writing, making movies that suck, and hanging out with friends. My SUPER-COOL photo album
