War Machine

About Me

Ok we finally have some of our fully recorded songs up. The newer songs havn't been recorded yet but they will be soon. We're not desperate for a singer but we are currently looking for one so if you want to audition just let us know we'd be more than happy to give you a chance.
War Machine was formed in the living room of Andrew’s house early in 2006. In January of 2006, Josh, Andrew and Taylor decided to make a band. Soon the band was filled with a plethora of guitar players, maxing at one point 8. By the first jam session at Andrew’s there was 6 guitarists and only one drummer. Soon enough Alex was brought in to play bass. Andrew then decided to break the large group of guitarists up into two bands. His band was left with Taylor on lead guitar, Josh and Joe on rhythm, Alex on bass, and him on drums. The band soon started practicing weekly in February. At first there was a small selection of songs that everyone knew how to play, they were Sunshine of Your Love and Rocking in the Free World. Practices consisted of playing these and solo jams. Taylor took one of the solo jams and added some new riffs and solo sections and came up with “the first song” which is know as “Omega X Delta K 3”. Taylor soon wrote his second and third songs and then his fourth song, “I Can’t Wait”. Throughout the end of the school year and the summer, Randy came to over to jam with the band and recently joined as second lead guitar. The name War Machine was thought of after listening to the line “We oil the jaws of the war machine and feed it with our babies” from Iron Maiden’s 2 Minutes to Midnight. The band hopes to record soon.War Machine is currently not rehearsing or recording though we do plan to record in to future. This is due to the fact that our drummer is out of town and our guitarists can't seem to work together.

"Our inspiration comes from life itself, good and bad things. And many of our lyrics is from our dreams, awake and asleep. But the main reason is to have a ball… Our musical content is in our lyrics, and we want our music to speak for itself and allow our audience to build their own opinion." -Overload
