I am here for Friends

About Me

Change is good. As the new season arrives, so must the myspace layout undergo some spring cleaning. But it's pretty rare for people to actually go through my page, so meh. I guess i'm just killing some time. Whatev, this is fun.
Anyway. There's a lot more to a person than can be explained by a picture and a paragraph. At best, it gives an honest and accurate first impression. At worst, it shows off my photoshop and creative lying skills. But don't worry, I'll be honest.
My newest passion is climbing. I love how it makes me strong, and I love how it brings balance and focus to my body and mind. I consider myself a Buddhist, but I'm not very devout. I'm a scientist, currently studying biology and trying to get my grades up enough to get admitted into the School of Education at the U of M...eventually, I want to teach high school sciences (bio, chem, and earth science). My room is always messy, my laundry is never done, and I honestly see showers as an inconvenience (unless I've been at the gym or sauna).
I love cooking, eating, and sharing food with friends. And slacklining on the Oval. And springtime in Missoula. And small parties. And love.
Call me.

My Interests

I like climbing rocks, going paintballing, reading about Anarchism, slacklining, working my hands to the bone, and jumping off of tall things into water.

I'd like to meet:

Honest people with a lust for life. People who think it's cool to slackline while listening to Alkaline Trio. My long lost twin. Oh, and a girl...preferably a cute one who isn't bat-shit insane.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Music:

Oh man, the list changes so so often. And there's such a spread...here's the abridged version: Alkaline Trio, Against Me!, Modest Mouse, Counting Crows, Anti-Flag, MSI, Bright Eyes, Coheed and Cambria, Johnny Cash, The Pasties, Wingnut Dishwasher's Union. Punk, anarcho-folk, hip hop, indie-pop...just good music.

Movies:

Requiem for a Dream, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Super Troopers, I 3 Huckabee's

Television:

Planet Earth is the bomb dot com slash tv shows. I also enjoy Firefly. Other than that, I don't really watch TV.

Books:

I want to read the rest of The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. The Dark Materials trilogy (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, The Amber Spyglass) were probably my favorite books as a kid, second only to The Lord of the Rings. Recently I read a bit of Emma Goldman's Essays on Anarchism, and I really want to finish that as well. I want to read more.

Heroes:

I don't think I really have any heroes. I have people I love and respect, but that's as far as it needs to go.
