Hey!I'm Mert.As probably you all know.Anyways,I was an exchange student in the USA.I think I forgot my luck at home,cus I didn't have any during my trip there.But if I was lucky,I'd win the lottery and be a millionaire by now but I'm most definately not.
Well,I live in Istanbul,Turkey.It's the biggest and the most crowded city in Turkey.It has like 17 Million population and yep,I'm proud to be one of them.I'm a senior now at my school,which I don't bother to write its name since most of you won't be able to understand it.I really like to hang out with my friends and go to some festivals during summer.As a matter of fact,the biggest rock fest of Turkey is only 15 minutes away from my home.Cool huh?Well here is some answers about some of the most frequent questions about my life.-Yes,I have been drunk before (try this summer)
-No,I don't have a driver's licence cus by the law,you have to be 18 in most European countries to have a drivers licence.And in that case,no I do not have a car,either.
-Do not ask me this again please,because I'm really sick and tired of this question and here's the answer for it one last time.Yes,we do have McDonalds and Burger King and TV and The Simpsons.I even watch Ellen on TV every day...!
-No,our national bird is NOT turkey.As a matter of fact,we don't have one.
-Yes,I know what a cell phone means and I own a very cool technological one which is way better than most of yours Motorolla's.I do have a Nokia 3230 which is an old model right now around here.
-And one last thing.Please,do not ever ask me about the relationship between the country Turkey and the animal Turkey.In Turkish,my country's name is Turkiye which means "The Lands of Turkish people".So we don't have any kind of realtionship with it.And NO,I don't feel guity when I eat turkey,ok!
