Fly

Fly was still an embryonic concept when London DJs Mark Westhenry and Steven Black met for the first time in 2004, playing alongside each other in São Paulo, Brazil (Mark was on tour with DTPM, Steven was living and DJing there). Twelve months later, when Steven had moved back to London, they two DJs, now friends, were asked to be Fly's first residents, for its debut at the La Troya London event on 25 June 2005: Also on the bill that night, in the Latinaires room, Greek DJ Alex Celler was making his London debut alongside Argentine superstar Ariel (long-time DTPM resident, equally famed for his eight-hour sets at Freedom in the nineties) and Chilean percussionist Angela.Having worked so well as a team that night, Alex, Angela, Ariel, Mark and Steven were reunited in November 2005, for Fly's first solo outing at Hidden:After a break of eleven months, Fly returned in October 2006 for a series of midweek parties at Area, where they were joined by new Belgian resident DJ Funghi: After four parties, during which time the line-up was enhanced with guest appearances by London DJ David George and French DJ Louis Guilhem (a.k.a.
