I'm 26 years old with twin daughters, Destiny and Desire'e. They are 8 years old and keep me on my toes at all times! I have faced my greatest challenge in life so far, Kidney Failure. I am no longer on dialysis! I recieved one of the greatest gifts in my life, a kidney transplant! My mother was my donor. What a courageous woman! Dialysis was very draining and not where I expected to be at such a young age, but it wasn't a choice that I was given. I think that I dealt with it just fine though. Soon enough I will be physically able to be more active with my daughters. That is the most important thing to me. I can't wait to take them swimming in the summer and to Disney World if all goes well! They are my strength. I am truely blessed! I LOVE YOU GIRLS! Besides my health... Everything else in my life is good. My family has really been there for me. They are my support. I have been kind of relying on everyone close to me more than ever lately and I appreciate them more than they know. I can say that my illness has brought me closer to the people that really matter in life. It's kind of ironic, but my life is actually headed in a positive direction since getting sick. It was a hard realization at first. Kind of a nightmare, but hopefully an inspiration to others someday. My next step is advocacy. I want to educate others and hopefully influence others to change someone elses life, the way that my mother has changed mine. I really want to thank everyone that was involved in the fundraiser. The outcome was amazing! Church of the Rock is a wonderful family to have. Also thank you all for the letters and cards. They are covering my counter tops! And my mothers entertainment center as well! LOL! Thanks again!
