He began to DJ for parties and clubs during highschool, and also began to produce his own crucial instrumentals. While attending college at University Of North Carolina at Pembroke, he continued to make instrumentals for underground rappers in his dorm, and eventually had a couple mixtapes in the works. After organizing successful freestyle battles in the University's Center, he sent out a flyer indicating his interest in anyone and assisting others in their aspirations. ____________________________________Thats when aspiring producer Jay saw the flyer on his dormitory’s wall and called K swiss. Jay was born and raised in Brooklyn and other parts of New York. He was also passionate about underground and old school hip hop, and was inspired to be a DJ because of using DJ software programs during middle school. Listening to artists like Nas, and Talib Kweli made him change his mind to become a lyricist and producer. He only embarked on his lyrics, by transferring his poems onto instrumentals, and recording them on his computer microphone, using a 60-second recording program. When he moved to North Carolina to attend college at UNCP with his older cousin Greg, he looked to continue his dreams and goals as an artist. During his freshman year he saw the sign by K Swiss, and gladly took the initative__________________________________ Po was a sophomore at UNCP at the time, was a born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. After living in London with his brother for a while, he decided to attend UNCP. Po would maintain a fresh shapeup at times, so he always looked for on-campus barbers to do the job for good money. By this time, he already knew the best barber in town, and that was Greg…..coincidently Jay’s cousin. At one particular point in time, Po needed a shapeup immensely, so he randomly called up Greg to get a quick edge up. Greg was chillin with Jay in Jay’s dorm bumping Nas, so eventually Po had to receive his edge up in Jay’s dorm room…..
