Drayne

Drayne was formed by four friends that had the same love for music and the desire to write there own to share with people all around. They were formed in 2001 and had a 2 year solid stretch of playing. They played all around the Midland/Odessa area and into neighboring cities such as San Angelo and Dallas. In 2002 they cut an independent and self financed album which you can hear some of the songs on this site. I wouldn't say that they were huge, but they sure had a great time doing what they loved. In 2003 the band seemed to hit an obstacle. Members were going through personal changes and seemed to be ready to move on. For example the bass player (Justin Stewart) was going into the Air Force which he is still currently in. The bands drummer (Brad Cave) was getting married and to soon after have a son. The singer (Robb Knox) soon after moved to San Angelo for work and the guitarist (Tim LeMoine) moved to Austin for school. To say the least the band was dis-banded. Although separated for some time and being in and out of other bands all four members kept in touch even in the least bit. Because of this they had decided to do a reunion farewell show. This was to be their last stand together. Well for those of you who know the band, that was not the last show. About a year later they got together again to do the same thing. After this show everyone, band and fans alike, were convinced that was it. But here I sit writing to let all know that Drayne isn't finished yet. Obviously there was a spark between the guys that seems to keep shining long after everyone thought that it had been smothered out. (In the bands own words): We all knew years ago what the love of music meant. But somewhere along the way we lost the meaning and reason we were all doing this together. Now about 4 years later we are all making our way back to this glowing spark. We're not by any means saying that the band is getting back together but perhaps you can expect to see another Drayne show in the near future. There are plans in the works to have something put together by the first of the year. We know for sure this time it will not be called a farewell reunion, but just a reunion.
