About Me

I began playing guitar in 1985, chasing after the desire to play like my heros of the time. It started when my Mother bought me a Hondo II strat copy from a pawn shop. My good friend taught me how to tune it and how to play a power chord, Soon after I was taught Rock you like a Hurricane, Running with the Devil and Aint Talkin Bout Love. I then jumped into Underground Metal and Punk styles which I was listening more to Slayer, Dr. Know, Metallica, Exodus, Suicidal, Dark Angel, GBH to name a few.
In 1988 I found a great respect for Jazz, Baroque/Classical/Flamenco, and Shred style players such as Satriani and Vai. When I found out Satriani also gave instruction lessons to some of the metal players I admired, I figured knowing some theory might be a good idea. When I got my copy of Metal Blades Fretboard Frenzy and Racer X's albums, I would listen to these artists in amazement as to how talented they are. So wanting to know what guided their influence of style, I searched what musicians they give praise to.As fate would have it I discovered classic rock and metal when playing with friends in th early 90's, and found how these bands influenced the bands i was enjoying so much. In '93 I was in a car accident and didn't start playing again until '98.
In 2000 the calling to get out and play was beckoning loud and clear amidst the rising of metal once again. I enjoy different styles or music as well as having respect for anyone that goes out and plays genuinely, what style it may be. My heart is in playing metal for it is the most moving style that I relate to.

I get asked is this a good guitar, or what is a good guitar to get. And I say check it out and see how it feels for you. For the life of me I can't stand the neck profile of a fender strat, or the way...
