On December 15th 2006 the Banners of Hope Team dropped off 4 huge boxes of over 500 hats to Childrens
Memorial Hosptial in Chicago and shipped the rest off to the children at St. Jude. In total we collected more then 2000 hats! The turn out for the winter hat drive was more then amazing and we are back at it again, this time collecting caps and bandanas for the summer.
Due to cancer fighting treatments most of the children end up losing there hair but not hope! Our goal is to collect 1,000 hats and bandanas for the children who will be in treatment over the summer. Lot's of places rush to get hats for the winter but forget about the heat that summer brings and the childrens little heads need to be protected! Team up with a youth group, girl scout troop, church or school to help with our Hats of Hope Challenge.
For each hat that is sent $1.00 is also matched with it!! The money is then sent to St. Jude and the Make a Wish Foundation. We would love to see everyone from all over help out to make this worth while.
"Help to spread hope one hat at a time."
