Florida (Orlando) I love these KIds....the Smith was so much fun.....Its the
best recreational center I have ever been to hands down...
Living in Florida for almost 1 year was one of the best experiences in my life...Ive gotten to see things I would have never seen in California....Prime examples the different slower Southern lifestyle....where people don't have much and have to hustle to provide for their families...Crime is at its highest.....theres so many broken family's... it was hard for me to believe how many of the children at the recreational center I worked at didn't have neither a father nor a mother because 1.the father abandoned them and 2.the mother is on some heavy drugs, prostituting,or in jail.....so their grandmothers are their guardian...It was amazing to be a motherly/sisterly/Friendly role model for the children..the innocence in their eyes and joy in their laughter/smiles was the warmest feeling a person can ever feel..not a day goes by where i don't think of those children and wonder how their doing...I fear at times for their safety outside the Smith recreational center....This experience was more then I can ever ask for....I genuinely feel God sent me there on a mission to help....also to open my eyes and appreciate everything I have back home in California.....Thank you Florida and all the family/friends/people ive met on my journey there....
