We started PRECORE PRODUCTIONS because good quality music has to come out even though the music business of today is quite damaged. With our own band ADJUSTED we experienced how hard it is for bands to get compensation for the music they're making. We worked really hard to get a record deal for a long time because we thought it was the only way to live out of music. We even made contact with some of the major labels out there. At first they were interested and gave good responses to our music.. and then nothing..
Record companies won't sign new artists out of fear of not getting enough profit out of the music they're promoting mostly because of illegal downloads.
We're not the first or the only ones out there who experienced this. A great band we know with a lot of listeners actually got signed to one of the bigger major labels. The months flew by and nothing happened. They felt they got absolutely nothing out of the deal so they chose to leave them and are now touring on their own.
"Profit before passion" that's how the music industry functions and we think it's wrong. Ofcourse you've got to earn money to spend money on promotion or such but what's happening right now is just wrong. Struggling talented musicians are neglected from the music industry because their music doesn't sell right now..come on!
We play skatepunk and we're damn proud of it too, and to be honest we're tired of waiting for this music-industry to change. In 2006 we signed ourselves to PRECORE PRODUCTIONS in an attempt to live of our music.
PRECORE PRODUCTIONS will keep its focus upon ADJUSTED for the time being but in the future we mean to develop from only working with ADJUSTED to working with bringing forth unknown talented bands within the punk genre. We wish to keep the punk scene alive and ever growing.
