Tiffanni Walton

About Me

Tiffanni Walton is one of Melbourne’s up and inspiring jazz pianist. With her soft smooth touch paving her melodic improvisations, she captures her audience with passion and zeal. After growing up in north-east country Victoria, she moved down to Melbourne to extend her musical education, attending the Victorian Collage of the Arts Secondary School in 2003 for two years. Her musical development continued, with her studying and currently acquiring her Bachelor of Music at Monash University. Tiffanni has studied under both prominent Melbourne and international pianists, including Monique DiMartina, Andrea Keller, Tony Gould, Jex Saarelaht, Steve Sedergreen and John Taylor. Tiffanni approaches the genre of jazz with no restrictions, being influenced by the pioneers of jazz piano including Dave Brubeck, Bill Evans and Oscar Petterson; to the modern sound of Brad Mehldau, Harry Connick Jr, Keith Jarrett and Esbjörn Svensson Trio (E.S.T). With these influences combined, she creates her own style and original repertoire, blending the material of traditional jazz tradition with the contemporary.
