J-son

Born, August 1st 1983, Jason Johnson began his struggle to survive on this earth. On the ride to the hospital ride, the ambulance sirens silenced as fluid rushed into his lungs. Destined to be here, he fought and survived. Adversity only seemed to follow him as his eyesight seemed to bother him and eventually prompted the need for him to wear bifocals. Constanly being picked on simply because of his handicap, eventually it would break him. Strangely enough it didn't break him in the way that everyone expected it would. He began writing poetry and song, expressing his innermost feelings, and began to feel a sense of pride. As time progress he'd written pages of poetry and song, beginning to wonder what he could do with them. His break cam when his uncle (Musician Dion Donalson) noticed he had an interest in music and began teaching him the things that he knew. Eventually Jason began taking piano classes in middle school, trying to reinforce what he'd learned already. Eventually he'd meet the woman he'd marry and she'd prove to be one of the best things to happen in his life. She realized how strong his love was for music and purchased him a yamaha psr keyboard for chistmas. Instally the new tools at his disposal, though limited in power, proved to be a major stepping stone toward his dreams. He'd began creating songs, having to deal with technical limitations, he pressed on determined to create music. After several upgrades in keyboards, as well as computer programs, he decided enough was enough and went on his quest to obtain "professional" studio equipment to allow him to make better quality recordings. After literally going in debt at the local SamAsh store, J-son left with a better arsinal to create better quality music, also learnin another lesson, credit cards aren't good. Learning lesson throughout life helped mold his style. Unfortunately early on he'd learned that kindness is truly misconstued as a weekness in this world. Someone whom he'd shown nothing but kindness to, decided to break into his apartment. This act devistated him, strangely enough though, they never took any of his music equipment. He learned that the world is out for themselves and no one else, knowing that, he decided to make music that may touch someone before it's too late. Today he continues on in his quest to do just that, not in a religous way, knowing that we all have beliefs, but in a positive way.
