About Me

Hogg: the man, the survivor, the hustler.Although Atlanta is known for being one of the larger cities in Ga., its streets giving birth to some of the biggest artist such as T.I., Young Jeezy and yes even the legendary Outkast. But tucked away about hour south of ..HotLanta.. you..d find what at first glance appears to be a sleepy little town called Talbotton lovingly referred to as the ..country... The Backwoods, where surprisingly you..d find the same things in the much larger city. Coming to you live Straight from the country is an n artist like none other. H.O.G.G. the 25 year old self proclaimed ..King of the backwoods .. has been in the music game for over a decade and possesses a style that can only be described as ..Crunk and Blues.. . His influences ranging from legends such as Jimi Hendrix to Al Green. Ugk to 8ball and M.J.G. Born in Columbus Ga., He was uprooted from his home in Point East Apt. at an early age, Spent most of his early years in Copperas Cove, TX. There, in a culturally diverse community he was exposed to a multitude of music. But it was upon his return where he discovered his own talent for music. But even that had quickly taken a back seat to a life of fast money and hard living. By the mid to late 90..s in Talbotton guns, violence and drugs had infected the area and become a part of most of the generation. ..That..s really when H.O.G.G. was born ..he says. ..Hustle on the go for green is what H.O.G.G. stands for. ..That need to have more, or just to have made me who I am... But on February, 7 2000 who he was would change forever When his ambitious nature nearly cost him his life. In the early morning hours of his hometown, On his way to an ..exchange... He was involved in a mysterious accident that few would walk away from much less live to tell about. While in his vehicle he was struck by a freight train at high velocity. The circumstances surrounding the accident are still sketchy at best, the aftermath was clearly seen. Suffering a broken neck, clavicle and having multiple surgeries to repair the damaged vertebrae and self rehabilitation. He decided to switch his focus to his music and his music became his hustle. He then said goodbye to the woods and headed for the Westside of Atlanta. It was there he was signed to his first independent label ..Big Boy Records.. with acts such as The Bankhead Boyz, Triple X and Show he began to make a name for himself. Determined to put his small city on the map he penned the underground hits T-Town Anthem, Whut Cha Get Iz Whut U See and Tell me about ya life. But it wasn..t until he recorded why u hating people realize something else .... He can sing as well as he can Rap!? But the company folded before his project ..Tales from the Woods.. could be released and it was back to the grind once again for the then 21 year old, but he stayed focus with his music until his chance 2005 meeting With the C.E.O. of a new company creating a new sound of the south with artist like Joe Green, Shann, and K-Hood ..real Lyricists.. no gimmicks. The company, Work Squad Muzik had found H.O.G.G. and armed him with tracks from super Producers Mixzo & Bean to help give birth to a sound that will change street music forever. The world is waiting for H.O.G.G. And Crunk & Blues MySpace.com --
