Add to My Profile | More VideosNelson Saga: born in El Salvador, Central America, is an interdisciplinary writer, composer, performer, actor, and musician with contemporaneous Latin American folkloric and world fusion compositions that depicts sublimeness and directness through an adventurous and sober poetry, and a practical-spontaneous global ritualistic blend of eclectic music.His linguistic experiences include writing for numerous publications such as La Banda Elastica based in Los Angeles. Nelson Saga speaks three languages (Spanish, Portuguese, & English) and sings in four, thus adding Catalan. He has collaborated with community radio stations assisting radio journalist Eduardo Melgar with "Sol Guanaco" and later founding "Cosmicaradio Magazine" 91.7 FM (KOOP Radio) in Austin, TX. Nelson has shared the stage with Grammy artists such as Flaco Jimenez and Ciryl Neville. He has also collaborated as an actor in different Holywood and independet motion pics. Most recently he appears on "Slamdingo", which can be foun on www.youtube.com.In July of 2002, Nelson Saga recorded his first musical album, live at Austin's own legendary Raul Salinas' Resistencia Bookstore entitled "Paco El Capitan," .Currently, Nelson Saga is recording with his Austin world-fusion band, "Arma del Alma" ("Weapon of the Soul"). They have released " Cuzcatlan", (Land of Precious Stones)", Live @ Ruta Maya IHQ,ATX,2003-2007".VOL.I.II & III,Albums dedicated to and entitled in Mayan language after his homeland, El Salvador. The album gathers various local international talents and dwells deep into the roots, events, and historical personalities of his Latin-American people.
