About Me

One listen to Apostle spit a verse or freestyle a rhyme gives reason to hip-hop culture. It validates what the founders intended hip-hop to be. I t is not all about how he is better than every other rapper in the industry; nor is it ever a bunch of random rhymes that sound good over whatever beat it's with. Everything he says defines who is and what his life has been since his birth in Jacksonville, NC 25 years ago. While that is a short period of time in the whole scheme of things, for this young artist it has been several lifetimes. He speaks of the streets with the intimacy of a true friend and all the rage of its worst enemy. In constant struggle with himselfto be the best at everything he puts himself in, you hear the battle play out 16 bars at a time. His writing is inspired and in his words, listening to himself makes him "wanna be a rapper too". Apostle speaks with sly arrogance masked by feigned humility simply stating what needs to be said when it needs to be said. You feel all the agnst, indifference, hatred, and love of both games (the streets and music) that has shaped this emcees life thus far. Hated by many, respected by those worthy of his company, and loved by those that truly know him, this man i s about to set the industry on fire. He brings with him the versatility of the self-taught masters before him. Writing, performing, producing, and distrubuting on his label "Money and Power Music Group" of which he is the co-founder and CEO, he plans on establishing himself firmly in the ever-changing music world of today. When asked once what he would consider more important "going platinum or having a loyal and faithful following of fans," he answers slyly: "As a man, platinum; as an artist, platinum; but as a fan of hip-hop, the following." He says that if you "go into the hoods you talk about in your songs and no one knows you or fucks with you it's your own doin'. If the streets don't respect you after you go platinum then it was white people who don't know better buyin' yo album." PimpMySpace PhatPimpClothing.com
