this Building (new layout, new song, new drummer!)

this Building formed in November of 2007 with the union of four members: Nick Breining, Chris Kelley, Jesse Wolf, and Jaime Pelaez, two each from recently departed bands. They came together with the goal of creating heartfelt, energetic music that they enjoyed and that people could relate to. They began demo-ing songs almost immediately. Before long, they had released their first single "Stay Awhile" on to their myspace page which became an instant success with their fan base that they had been building. They continued to write and started playing shows at every chance they got. Everywhere they went it was the same positive response that they were receiving online. Armed with a multitude of songs filled with passion, they decided it was time to record their first EP. They started tracking drums for a 6 song EP in early March. Shortly after the completion of the drum tracks, drummer Jaime Pelaez decided to leave the band due to reasons not fully known. The remaining members, Nick, Chris, and Jesse, decided to keep moving ahead with full speed. They continued to play shows with a fill-in drummer, and most recently they have secured a full time replacement with the addition of drummer Adam Pitzen. this Building is still tracking for the EP and have spent many months in the studio. With the albums long-awaited release rapidly approaching, only time will tell what's in store for this Building. One thing for sure is that they have only just begun.
