Influenced by artist such as Run DMC, Rakim, KRS-ONE, Kool G. Rap, Big Daddy Kane, and Slick Rick. Producers such as DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Neptunes, Just Blaze, Rock Wilder, Kanye West, and Dr. Dre. Cvees is one of the most diverse groups in the game today. Three different mcees, three different styles, one sound. And a sound like no other. representing Harlem NYC, Swave Sevah and Probe DMS met at a very early age. Later in their teenage years they met Ike P. After becoming good friends and finding out what each of them can do, they formed a group. The group was called N.B.C (New Born Chaos). But after noticing the usage of the word chaos in a lot new groups titles, they decided to change the name to C.V (Cult Vertigo) which was soon changed to CVEES (Ceremonial Victorians).
Music is not something thats new to them. Probe has been DJing since the age of 6. Swave has been rhyming since the age of 9. And Ike P has been rhyming since the age of 10. In 2000 Cvees was featured on J-Live's "the Best Part" LP. Probe was on "Kick it 2 the Beat" and Ike and Swave was on "Raw Footage". In 2002 Swave and Ike won a tag team MC battle. In 2003 Cvees released their first single on a independent label call Sub-Verse. The single was called "The Jump Off".
The single did pretty well. It was in constant rotation on college radio stations everywhere. In 2004 Probe teamed up with Jon Solo and formed and released "SpyMusic". Probe also did production for artist sush as BreezEvahFlowin, J-Live, L-Swift (Swigga), Shakespeare, Juels Santana and Cam'Ron, and Buckshot. Swave Sevah is also now a member of Stronghold.
Cvees is now finishing up the LP that they will soon release on Triple Threat Records. Listen out for them.
