8th Day

Unveiling the all Iron Maiden set!!!

About Me

8th Day formed in the winter of 2004 when Scott Harvey put out the call for talented musicians. The band has undergone several line-up changes with various guitarists and bass players coming and going. The band just morphed yet again with the sad departure of 8th Day favorite, Lincoln. Unfortunately, Lincoln could not keep up with the rigorous tour schedule as it was cutting into his quilting time. Actually, he took a job up in Watertown, NY making great money and commuted back and forth for a 400 mile round trip twice a month. It was not a bad parting however, and you can rest assured that he will be making cameo appearances from time to time in the future. However, when the gods of Rock and Roll slam the door in your face (and then kick you in the nads and punch you in the kidneys for good measure) they open a window.... or at least have the decency to install a cat flap in the door the just slammed in your face. Many guitarists tried to come through this cat flap. Only one of them made it unscathed. Jin Soo Jeon.
Peter Glanville on lead vocals was a classically trained operatic tenor who has years of experience doing opera and musicals. He was also a professional bag piper who worked extensively in the pub circuit in New England and has 29 years of experience playing music. He has a powerful and versatile four octave voice that he can use to fit nearly any given song. He is trying to wear less puffy shirts and lose more weight so as to not look like Meat Loaf.
B.C. Hoag has been playing guitar for 22 years, is influenced by the likes of Metallica, Maiden, Rush, Priest, Anthrax, Ozzy, Zeppelin, Slayer, Testament, Sabbath, Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, YJM, Nancy Wilson, Neil Diamond, and Yoda. He has played with the likes of Excellsior, Cronikill, and Something Fierce. He is a full time dad and part time Metal God.
Jin Soo Jeon is a native of Seoul, Korea. He came to US in 1998 (This year is 10th anniversary!!) and went to the school of music @ SUNY Fredonia and holds a BS in Sound Recording Technology. He was classically trained with a piano since he was 4. He has played guitar for 20 years and has been involed in professional Music Industry since 1992. Jin Soo has worked in professional recording studios in Korea and USA. Influenced by Bon Jovi, Queen, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Tony Macalpine, Boston, Ozzy Osbourne, Dream Theater, Loudness and so on...you name it.. He is a huge fan of 80’s Hair Metal and enjoys shredding on his guitars all the time.
Brian Juda, on the bass, has been playing for over 10 years. His influences include Billy Sheehan, Rudy Sarzo, John Taylor and the progressive metal of the 80s. He thrives on music and is happiest when he is playing or performing music. It is in his soul.
Scott Harvey, is the founder and drummer of 8th DAY. He grew up in a house with family members who loved to share live music with family and friends. This had a huge musical impact. His influences include Bill Ward, Neil Peart, Mike Portnoy, Nicko McBrain and local drummer Bruce Peck.
Check out Bryan’s killer radio station. You will hear all manners of ripping stuff including songs from Enter Eden, 8th Day, and Noah’s Reign!!!

Village Rock Cafe 11/4/06

This was a pretty positive show.  The audience waxed and waned throughout the entire evening.  That was sort of weird, we're not used to being the entertainment for transient bar hoppers, bu...

Stooges 10/21/06

Last night's show went well.   What was slightly lacking in polish was made up for in sheer energy. There were some technical hiccups which were rather humorous.   My personal...
