...........Songs For The Awkward is the solo project from musician Carlos Garcia of Ft. Collins,Colorado. Garcia’s music is a mixture of sleepy vocals,detuned guitars and ambient noise.“Love and Medication†is the first of two albums. The second album, called “Valerie†will be available in the Fall of 2010…or sooner. These two albums were heavily inspired by Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On†and Grouper’s “Dragging a Dead Deer Up A Hillâ€. They were all recorded “Bluegrass Style†with only one microphone in the middle of the room for the vocals and guitar. It started off as just a session at North Starr studios, but Garcia and Co-Producer Clint Reeves decided to go back and put backing vocals,lead and samples over the tracks. “Love and Medication†only took a few hours to record, But they meant every letter in every word and meant every note!!! . ..
