Laurence Farley was born in Lincoln UK in 1973. In his early years it became apparent that Loz had a talent for music after getting his first drum kit. It was at this time when he discovered his musical vocation but unfortunately found out he had an illness called Colitus, which is something he had to learn to live with.During his educational years while starting and playing in numerous bands he discovered he had an amazing voice. Singing, songwriting, lyrics and poems became his life. He bought himself a computer, a mixing desk and the pro tools programme and soon after the band 'Chancer' was formed. Chancer became very popular in the midlands area and although kept recieving great publicity from around the UK, they often got critisized for being way ahead of their time. After several years of hard work Chancer sadly split due to a difference in opinion of their direction.In 2003 Loz decided that New York would be more suited to the type of music he wanted to produce and so he followed his dream. On his own and with no contacts he left his central park hotel to seek this inspiration. On his way the heavens opened and Loz ran down the nearest side street and took cover in the nearest bar.It was here he met the owners sister, Michelle whom he married on September 25th, 2004. After renting an apartment across the road from the Sony building he met some fantastic friends and influential people who have helped pave the way to the present day.Laurence was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in 2005. Through all of his illnesses and his hideous treatments he managed to still carry on his dream. His love for music, his wife Michelle and his family & friends drove him on. Michelle was by his side every step of the way and their partnership is a love story in itself.From 2006-2007 with the help of producer Johnny “Flo B Wan†Levine and Rich Keller of Sony music Laurence managed to complete his forthcoming album.Tragically Loz died on May 21st 2007. Laurence Farley’s all-too-brief recording career and life left an indelible impression on all the people who met him and heard his music.
