Liberian-born soprano has created a niche - programming music by composers from sub-Sahara Africa, the diaspora, in addition to compositions by young American composers and the standard repertoire. .
Dawn recently made her Kennedy Center debut, in collaboration with Darryl Hollister. She played to a standing ovation in the UK where she collaborated with Nigerian pianist, Glen Inanga in the Fall of 2006. This singer who can also move into the popular genre with ease, was recently featured on the track "Pineapple", on Sean Noonan's Brewed by Noon's "Stories to Tell" CD
An international performer, Dawn sang the Liberian national anthem at the inauguration of the Republic of Liberia's president Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the first female African president.
Festivals include the Festival of Sacred and Profane Music in Martinique and the 2005 New Music Indaba Festival in Grahamstown, South Africa. Ms. Padmore has also performed as a soloist with the Minnesota Orchestra, St. Paul Civic Orchestra (MN) and the Delaware Symphony. She was a young studio artist with the Des Moines Metro Opera Company.
Competitions won include the Austrian American Society Competition (DE), the Metropolitan Opera Guild Competition (Midwest District Winner), and the Delaware Symphony Concerto Competition.

Dawn is a featured vocalist on Sean Noonan's Brewed by Noon's second album "Stories to Tell". She sang lead and backup on the track "Pineapple".
She has collaborated regularly with Boston-based pianist, Darryl Hollister, UK-based pianist Glen Inanga, and most recently formed a group with pianist Jihea Hong and flautist, Laura Falzon - Id-Dinja ("The World" in Maltese). Id-Dinja was formed to bring contemporary classical music from all parts of the world to the stage.
