A young Indigenous Singer/Songwriter with one hell of a big voice, who blends his life experiences and his love of singing/songwriting together to give his listening audience an emotional journey into his soul"Honey melting off a hot rock" is how Pauls voice has been decribed.Paul's passion for singing started at the age of seven when he sang with his Uncle Herb Patten's band and professionally twelve years ago.In 2000 he attended The Aboriginal Centre for The Performing Arts (ACPA) in Brisbane to do his Certificate 4 in Performing Arts, Then he went on to study he's Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts, Majoring in Singing with and Acting Minor.Pauls credentials since then include a number of corporate and public gigs with personal highlights being,Veteran Games, Brisbane, Performing for the Queensland Police Commissioner, The opening of the Byron Bay Marine Park, NAIDOC week 2003 Celebrations, Brisbane, NAIDOC Week 2005 Celebrations, Melbourne, plus verious other sell out gigs around australian pubs and clubs.In 2003 Paul entered a competition with Music NSW called The Whichway Program. It called for Indigenous artists to submit their original songs with five artist chosen to record two song each for a compilation album, working with some of Australia's finest musicians and producers.Paul was chosen, and through that was able to record and release Strong Black Woman and Crave with Glen Hannah producing both tracks and Golden Guitar winner Felicity Urquhart on Backing Vocals.Over the past few years these song's have received a fair amount of airplay on Indigenous Radio Australia wide.
