I am here for Friends

About Me

i love the seasons. i hope to always live somewhere with 4 seasons. i miss my homeland. i live to spend time outside. i spend time outside to live. i don't like to comb my hair....i never look pretty and i never get freaked out by dirt. i love minnesota first, but also montana, california, maine, and canada. i believe i am destined to always be at least a little bit lost. i'm terribly impatient and idealistic to a fault. i can cry easily over a beautifully worded sentence. i'm always planning my next trip. i'm always writing something.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

people who play cool music, people i used to know back in the day, people who live an absurd amount of time in their tents, writers of any kind ........................."; I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

My Blog

The Maass Family Travel Journal: Back to the Classics

Well, things have been pretty quiet here at the Maass Family Travel Journal for a while now.  This has been due to the long winter, but mainly to a lack of funds, let's be honest.  And the M...

just a house

I spent my first "night" here in early June, on the floor under the bay windows upstairs, freezing with only one down comforter and just a thin sheet between me and the freshly carpeted floor.  W...

kennel, anyone?

So my normally sweet dog Spiro, affectionately known as SpirShadow, has always had somewhat of a trash-surfing problem.  But he's so sweet, and he really doesn't know he's doing anything wrong; h...

what might have been; what might still be

What was once possible is no more.  To come home from Grand Marais is like leaving home forever.  What if that one fall was really home and I'll always long for it?  Building a life in ...

The Maass Family Travel Journal Volume 213: Goldy Goes to Richardton, North Dakota

Last month Greg, Goldy, Long-Legs Bunny, and I took a short little vacation to Montana.  The four of us have been on many adventures together.  Goldy is our sort-of junky gold Grand Am, and ...

reign of the saturday hair

I don't like to get my hair cut.  Professionally, that is.  I have way more stories of haircuts I've given myself or Greg has given me in the last 10 years than any person my age should have...
