About Me

When I was fourteen my father Koen De Cauter, since 'ever' a musician, started to give me some guitar lessons... and it suddenly took a life on its own. By the time I was eighteen I could manage to live from playing music.
From the mid nineties, music playing became very intense: bands, gigs, projects, recordings, tours...
After a while (...round the turn of the millennium...) I started to feel that I had to slow down a bit, and... there was so much more that I wanted to do. So I started to enjoy other things too: programming, organizing, recording, producing and my great passion: graphics.
On the other hand, playing music became such a essential part of my life that I just can't leave it behind me. One thing did change though: I don't care about genre or style anymore. From the moment I like the interpretation, something good is happening! And that's all that matters to me.
Jazz, world, folk, classical... whatever we do with it it's just notes that have to be played as good, honestly and beautifully as possible.
It's all love

Influences: There's so much...
Go check my friends!! It's an excellent selection (I'm not kidding!!) 'though I left out most of the pop, rock, hip hop, entertainement (...) that I like (yes I do sometimes like it! - some anyhow) because we don't need MySpace to know or find that...

Most of my 'Hot Club a.k.a. Django a.k.a. Gypsyswing a.k.a. Manouchejazz a.k.a. Sintiswing'-friends are on my DjanGo!-page (third of my topfriends...).

There's also a fine selection of graphics, arts, philosophy, science, literature...

Enjoy!

I'm sorry that I don't allow all requests... I really want to maintain a personal feel to my 'space'. It doesn't mean I don't respect, or even like, you.
