Confident and focused, Atak One - born Eric Johanson on March 4, 1979 - believes thatopportunity and success in the music business is now within his reach. However, the road to get to this point in his careerhas not been easy. As a teenager, this Peoria, Ill., kid packed up his bags and headed for Denver where he now resides.Growing up in the new city proved to be rough and Atak dealt every day with inner citystruggles including losing his best friend in a fatal shooting where Atak was also shottwice, once in the face. Westword featured Atak's shooting as the front page article inJanuary of 2006. Now, 30 years old, and a proud father of two, Atak has put all thenegativity behind him and is completly focused on his future in music business - the one thing that has helped Atak through the years. With 10 years of recording experience and three solo albums on hisresume, Atak believes he is finally making the music the way he wants it to sound.
