About Me

I have a dry sense of humor and sometimes gravitate towards corny mom jokes. I love going out and trying new restaurants or hanging out in some dive bar in the village with friends. Afterwards, I find comfort going to a diner for a little 3am breakfast. Being from NJ originally, diners are embedded into my soul, as is bowling and going down to "the shore". Music has been a significant part of my life since I was very young. Nothing is really more therapeutic than spending hours into the night creating an aural world that removes me from the daily machine of life. I've had an addiction to the Food Network as of late. No surprise seeing that I think food is probably one of the greatest inventions in the universe next to air and internet porn.I find myself taking solo tours around the city from time to time, most recently with Jim Dale in my ear narrating a Harry Potter audio book. I think these are the best inventions ever! I like reading for the most part but just for 15 minutes or so at a time until any simple distraction takes over the spot light and the pages trail off disappointed into the shadows. With audio books, I can nap, have wandering eyes, or take long walks around the city and still enjoy the magic of story telling. Wow, that really sounded like a horrible late night infomercial, so I'll end here. You can visit my website to listen to some of my newest music! Just click the link below. DEREKSTOKES.COM ..
Your Birthdate: January 16
Your birth on the 16th day of the month gives a sense of loneliness and generally the desire to work alone. You are relatively inflexible, and insist on your being independent. You need a good deal of time to rest and to meditate. You are introspective and a little stubborn.Because of this, it may not be easy for you to maintain permanent relationships, but you probably will as you are very much into home and family. This birth day inclines to interests in the technical, the scientific, and to the religious or the unknown realm of spiritual explorations. The date gives you a tendency to seek unusual approaches and makes your style seem a little different and unique to those around you.Your intuition is aided by the day of your birth, but most of your actions are bedded in logic, responsibility, and the rational approach. You may be emotional, but have a hard time expressing these emotions.Because of this, there may be some difficulty in giving or receiving affection.
