Born in Budapest, Hungary, Adam Balazs began playing the piano at the age of seven. He completed his musical studies at the Béla Bartók Conservatory majoring in Composition. In 1998, in pursuit of his musical career, Adam moved to the United States. Over the past few years, he has worked on several film projects as the composer, producer and arranger.
As a film composer, Adam's work includes the score for The Elephant King starring Ellen Burstyn and Jonno Roberts (Official Selection - Tribeca Film Festival 2006), Out of Omaha starring Lea Thompson, Dave Foley and Patricia Richardson , Arizona Seaside, Slingers, Security , Hot Lunch ("Best Feature" - Woods Hole Film Festival, Red Bank Int. Film Festival, Coney Island Film Festival), My Name is Alan, The Valley of Tears, Shock Act("Best Narrative Short" - Tribeca Film Festival), All About You, Lucky Man, The Killer Next Door starring Billy Dee Williams and The Library starring Brian Greenberg and Eric Weiner (Grand Prize - Brooklyn Film Festival). His music was featured in the soundtrack of Bedazzled (featuring Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley) and in the hit-show "Friends " (NBC), among others.
Adam's commercial credits include HBO (network and off-channel image), Cinemax (complete network re-design for Cinemax , and all multiplex channels ), NBC-News , Coca-Cola , Sirius XAct and Armani Exchange . He also wrote music for C-NBC (In Profile ) and MS-NBC ( Headliners and Legends ).
Adam..s most recent symphonic composition entitled Path of the Extraordinary premiered at Carnegie Hall in New York on October 15 th, 2006.
