About Me

Hello all, I'm Trent. I was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin. I am 41 years old. I moved to Nashville full time in 1992, and have played with many different bands and artists. I am mainly a bass player, but can do several other things including but not limited to, singing both lead and some harmony, emceeing, comedy, fronting and band leading. Of course, I didn't say I could do any of them well......... I am all about keeping traditional country music going. I'm really into Webb Pierce and Buck Owens, and many other artists, but especially the Bakersfield style artists. I take pride in being a traditional country styled bass player. That whole feel is so totally lacking in the trash, yes trash, they call "country music" nowadays. Yeah, I have strong opinions, and am not afraid to share them. I always give 100% effort on stage, and always want to do a great show for the crowd, whether there's 10 there or 10,000, and I've been in both situations. My current gigs are playing bass for Jett Williams & The Drifting Cowboys. Jett is the daughter of Hank Williams Sr, and the Drifting Cowboys are a band with almost 70 years of lineage, so it's cool to me to be a small part of it. I also get to open the shows for Jett some of the time. I was provided with the highlight of my career this past new years eve when I received the honor of playing with Jett on the Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman! How do you top that?? Playing the Opry was my lifelong dream/goal, and it was great to get to do it, and I hope to get to do it again! Check out Jett at www.jettwilliams.com I'm also currently playing bass at the Junction Jamboree with the fabulous Country Cookin' band most Saturdays. It's a weekly Jamboree show in Lebanon Junction, Ky. You can check out the website at www.countrycookinband.com The songs on this site are the Country Cookin' band playing. I'm playing bass on them, I am NOT singing on them. Harold Hutchins is the singer, and Amy Downs is the girl singer on the duet. I also play with a few other bands currently on a freelance basis. I'm always looking to add musical situations if they're cool and feasible with my schedule, so contact me for gigs or whatever. I'm obviously especially interested in traditional country type situations. I'm experienced, hard working, dependable, knowledgable and professional. Trent
