ELFFOR was started at the end of 1995 by Eöl as a Medieval-Ambient solo project.
In September 1998 the first Cd " Into The Dark Forest..." was recorded at Suffering Studios. The Cd was distributed in the underground and over 500 copies got sold out!
In September 2002, after a quite long silence because the busy schedule with his main band Suffering Down, Eöl enters Tala Studios his second effort, "Son of the Shades". Some guest musicians helped Eöl on the recording, Bixke (Numen) alboka, Alfon (Suffering Down) guitars and session musicians played, txalaparta a Basque Traditional percussion instrument.
The result was better than expected and 500 copies were sold in less than a month and a half.
August 2004, a new recording begins at Liant Moron Studios, the third album "From the Throne of Hate" is done. ELFFOR´s darkest and best work till date, both composition wise and sound wise, again with Alfon (Suffering Down) on guitars. This time Eöl took recorded the rest of the instruments.
One year later, winter 2005, a new album "Unblessed Woods" is recorded at Liant Studios. Guitars were recorded by Unai Liant this time. This is the band’s most complete album till date, limited to 500 copies that were sold out within a month.
