Hey! Are you looking for laughter and fun? Then you came to the right place! Let me tell you about myself: I've been getting up on stage and telling people stories and jokes for the past six years or so. Sometimes I get paid, sometimes I get fed, and sometimes I just get a free drink.
I like to sit at my messy desk and think of funny things to say using the many techniques I've learned by talking to other comedians, by taking comedy lessons, by reading comedy books, by talking to the people who take the time to slap my back after a show, and by recording every single show I do and listening to it later over and over.
Stand-up comedy is scary. It makes me nervous. It makes me doubt myself and I sometimes question the reasons why I do it. Am I really that desperately in need of attention? Do I really believe in what I'm saying or am I just saying it because I've memorized and it is now part of my material?
I'll tell you why I keep doing it, though. I love the feeling I get after having done a great set. You connect with the audience, you say what you have to say. It works. No, it's not better than sex, or better than linguini clam, but it is great.
So go ahead and add me so I can keep you posted with my adventures in comedy, sometimes I have a lot of gigs...and sometimes I have none. Read my bulletins to find out when I'll be getting up on stage again. I can't wait to see you in the audience.
