ABOUT ME:Lisa Linehan graduated from the University of Virginia and worked for a top financial firm before pursuing a music career. She worked in New York, London and L.A. but never lost her passion for music. An epiphany during an emergency plane landing led her to pursue life as a singer/songwriter. Her musical influences include Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette and Natalie Merchant. Lisa recently graduated from UCLA with a Master's Degree in Social Work. She hopes to bring positive change to families and children with her music. The title of the record, Attachment Theory, was inspired by her work with women and kids in a domestic violence shelter.Lisa has performed at L.A. venues including The Knitting Factory, Cat Club, Catalina Bar and Grill, The Gig, Westwood Brewing Company, Genghis Cohen, House of Blues and The Joint. Lisa is a member of the Recording Academy and has worked with the GRAMMY Foundation. Performance highlights include singing The National Anthem for the L.A. Dodgers, Lakers, Clippers and GALAXY, as well as for the Texas Rangers and FC Dallas.Lisa is the current Director for Chick Singer Night Dallas and Houston (www.chicksingernight.com). For two years, Lisa was the soprano in the a cappella group, Grace. She also recorded "Beautiful Day" for the Vitamin Records CD, "An Ethereal Tribute to U2."
