Kriz Rogers

About Me

Kriztina Rogers was born Kristina Elisabeth Lindberg in the small village of Stocka on the east coast of Sweden. Her parents loved music, especially Swedish folk music and country music. Even as a small child, the Christmas and Birthday presents they gave her were toy instruments, and when she was 10 years old, she was given a real piano accordion and took lessons at the public community music school. After three terms, her music teacher was replaced by a woman that recognized what Kriz really wanted to play and that was guitar so she encouraged Kriz to follow suit which she willingly did. Kriz had been singing in Sunday school since age six and at age ten to country songs on the cassettes her daddy gave her. It came natural for her to start singing while playing guitar. At age thirteen she made her first public appearance in Stocka in the school show celebrating the beginning of summer holidays. At the end of the summer she had written her first country song and now has the satisfaction of completing over 250 songs. The country music her father listened to has always been an inspiration and influence in Kriz's music with artists such as Johnny Horton, Hank williams, Sr., Buck Owens, Charlie Pride, Tom T. Hall, Patsy Cline, Merle Haggard, Tammy Wynette, Bonnie Owens and the list goes on and on. Kriztina Rogers has released two albums with her original songs in the name “Kriztina Åhs & Countryfied”. The albums are called “Kriztinacountry” and “Roads”. Both have been very well received and given great reviews in Sweden, and the songs have been played on radio stations all over the world. The song “Singing My Blues Away” reached number one on Folkradions listener's chart. Kriz has performed at major country music festivals in Sweden like Duved, Lingbo and Vemdalen. In September 2008 she was one of three contestants in The Swedish Mastership of Country Music called "CountrySM". She has appeared in two television shows, one on Sweden’s national TV called “Stjärnskott” and one in the states on Nashville Broadcasting Network called “Special Presentation”. Kriz recently married ICMA Traditional Male Country Vocalist of the year 2008, Chase Rogers of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Both as CMA/BMI singers, songwriters and recording artist plan to tour as a duet in Europe and the states. They have already written several songs which they plan to record in the very near future. They plan to continue their dreams and soon to combine their solo careers into one act as "Chasin Kriztina". Chase was recently quoted as saying, "I chased this little Swedish angel for a very short time, however, the Chase will always be there as this is the very love of my life. What more could a man want? Kriz is a very beautifully talented woman with an absolute heart of gold and a kindred spirit like none other that I have met. This is a God-Sent match, therefore, you have 'Chasin Kriztina'." As a further note, Kriz fluently speaks and writes perfectly grammatical English! You can expect alot of things from this Swedish Angel as she has so much to offer to the music world.. She and Chase will be "Chasin Kriztina".
