First and foremost, my path is set by the Lord...and it is my journey to know that path, that I may find His will for my life and serve Him. My God is my lantern, my devotion, and my unchanging Rock. Past that, the gifts I receive today are but tools with which I might speak His name...a shifting tune brings His peace, and a segment of code establishes a website for a pastor in Pennsylvania. I'm a Junior at UCF, and recently finished my first semester in the Music Program there. I auditioned in early December for Dr. Laurent Boukobza to get into piano studies, and was accepted into their BM (Bachelor of Music) degree program. So now I'm a Music Performance kid, and spend most of my time studying in the library cafe or in the practice rooms. I am making a segue into the recently implemented Jazz Studies program, however, which seems to hold much more flexibility for one's path in music genre and career. For the last few years now I've felt a pull into the Ministry, and the Lord's gentle hand has been enough to guide me through more than I deserve to have come through. Summer of 'o6 was spent as a Youth Pastor in West Virginia, but before I take off in that direction, I'm in fervent prayer that it is indeed a call, not just a convenience. A lot of fresh college kids feel a sort of intrigue into Youth, I feel, simply because it's a convenience. I want to go because God says "Go", not because I say "Sure thing, why not". Originally I planned on entering Seminary directly following UCF, but I believe I'd like very much like to pursue a higher Music Degree. Past that, only God knows what's in store. Lounge playing, jazz clubs, tours, concerts...I'm open for anything in my life, and that openness in my communion with the Lord is an amazing feeling. I've enjoyed throwing myself fully into every aspect of music...conducting, composing, songwriting, solo work, accompaniment, improvisation, and general jamming. It's all phenomenal, and has been bountifully rewarding. In any event, I'm a rather sociable young man, a gentleman, a romantic, a musician, a techie, a pianist, and above all, a man after God's heart.
And chances are, I love you to death. ;)
