I was born July 17th, 1984 in Auburn, Ca. I was reared in a Christian home in a little town called Cool, and came to a saving faith when I was four. My father and older brother started teaching me how to play guitar when I was 14. I started leading worship when I was 16 at youth group. I was homeschooled throughout highschool and because of that I had extra time to practice guitar. I've been singing for as long as I can remember, although I've never had any formal vocal lessons. I began attending Simpson in the fall of 2003, and graduated with a degree in Music in April of 2007.
I am currently residing in Oakdale, CA, with my beautiful wife, Elanor. We are currently serving at The River Christian Community. I am the worship/youth pastor, and Elle is the director of the children's ministry.
My main passion is to lead worship, but also to teach people about what worship is. To quote Shaun Groves, one of my absolute favorite musical artists and influences, "...worship is not a song: Worship is my response to God with everything I am, for all that He has done, is doing and will do in me, through me, around me and in spite of me." That's one of the best definitions of worship I can think of.
