Born in Russia.
Began playing piano at seven. Studied piano and music theory at the State Music School.
Decided to become an engineer; graduated from Polytechnic University with BS in Mechanical Engineering. At the university was getting more and more involved with the local music scene. After graduation decided to take up music full time.
Enrolled on a four-year course at the State Music College, studying piano, arrangement and orchestration, Graduated with a Diploma (BA equivalent) in Music. While still in college, formed a rock band and recorded an album. The process of studio recording has triggered my interest in recording studio equipment and music production.
Taught jazz composition and arrangement at the Jazz section of the State Music School.
In 1993, looking to further my music career, moved to the UK, and later enrolled on a three-year Music Technology course at Thames Valley University, graduating with AA in Music.
Since 2000 have been involved in numerous projects of varying styles, working with artists, producers and writers, including: Mozez (Zero 7), Yanju, Nicole Jane, Precreation, Melanie Blatt (All Saints), Michelle McMannus, Kinky’s Ex, Eugine Machine, Lemar, Shaun Samonini, , Rene Bowers, The Rushing, Matti Roots.
Main skills: writer, producer, arranger (vocal, strings, brass, orchestra), sound engineer (recording, mixing), keyboard player.
Other skills: sound design, vocal coaching.
Have solid experience creating music in various styles, including Rock/Metal, Pop/R’n’B/Soul, Alternative, World, and Classical.
Last year produced a debut album for the UK rock band The Rushing. The album mixed by Mike Fraser (Metallica, AC/DC, Aerosmith).
