About Me

Well hello people. I am James or "JP". I've have just returned from 3 months in Europe. I love travelling and discovering new places and cant wait till my next trip.
TRAVEL - I have got the travel bug BAD now! And I cant wait to go off again. Will be brilliant. Ive already done about 26 countries in Europe and Ive been to China and parts of Turkey in Asia, as well as the good ole stopovers in Singapore Airport (if the rest of the country is like that then tis alright. Hopefully heading to the US and A this year and its in plan mode at the moment.
LIFE - Ive got a pretty chilled out lifestyle. Work is freelance so its not every day in a boring office somewhere in front of a computer. Which means i still get to catch up with mates, hang out and watch movies, go to the gym and keep fit, hang out at B'ball in Hawthorn which is always an adventure. Family and Friends and Work are each important in that order. Work and Money are meaningless unless you have a family and good friends.
FUN - Love nights out with any of my top friends and many other people. Its always good to have random nights, end up god knows where but as long as you are having a good time it doesnt matter.
WORK - I work in the film and television industry as a Camera Assistant (1st AC), Clapper Loader (2nd AC) and I am an up and coming Camera & Steadicam Operator.
I carry a Preston FIZ2 Remote Focus Kit, 3 Bartech Remote Focus Kits, 2 x Modulas 3000 video transmitters and diversity recievers, Sony miniDV clamshell monitor / recorder / wireless directors monitor, 2 x tv/vcr combos with batteries and 200ft of cables and many other accessories to make shooting run a whole lot smoother. As well as access to a number of Steadicam systems to fit with any productions budget.
I simply love the craft of not only operating the camera but flying it around on my Steadicam. The Steadicam truly takes the camera into the third dimension.
I also reff and coach a pretty mean game of basketball, and do stats to an NBL level which i have done in the past. Its all good fun.

My Interests

Love a great night out with my mates. Love my basketball, going to the gym, watching the ALF footy (Karn the Tigers!!). When not working you will find me chilling watching a random movie from my pile of DVD's (over 300 real non burnt DVD's on the pile) and I absolutley love my job. When i'm working that is.
