With a plaintive voice that captivates the listener and an ability to write memorable songs, VIK is an artist trying to truly connect with his audience. Growing up listening to all sorts of music, from Pop to Blues to Metal to Rap, this singer/songwriter wants to combine different influences yet sound very original in his music.Having lived in Canada and the United Kingdom, where he fronted the alternative-rock band ‘Phonotype' (now 'The Peaks'), VIK has played at famous UK venues such as the Water Rats and the Full Moon.He has received interest from major record labels such as EMI music, Parlophone records and Universal Music.Presently, he is living in Toronto and has been playing acoustic gigs with guitarist Dallas Sutherland and vocalist Rita Chadda at venues such as Holy Joe’s, C’est What, Smiling Buddha Bar, Reillys, Free Times Café, Healys and the Executive Snooker Club. He is set to play the famous Toronto Opera House and Cameron House with his band ’Morning Fame’ featuring Dallas Sutherland on guitar, Rita Chadda on Vocals, Jon Feldman ..boards, Andrew Austin on drums and Mike Parenteau on bass.With his new collection of songs and his new band 'Morning Fame,' VIK is hoping to reach a global audience that seems to be looking for music that comes from the heart.
