About Me

Greetings to all, my name is Charisma also known as Harmony. I was born on the Breath taking island of St. Thomas, VI.
When my mother first saw me at birth, she chose my middle name from the Queen of Soul "Aretha" for she knew that I was destined to be a singer.
I've been singing from the tender age of 2. It was at this young age that I got on my grandmother's dining table as my stage and used her table spoon as my microphone (with no assistance). At that very moment, my grandmother was certain that I was destined for the world of music. During my elementary years, I was a member of the Miracles (Church of God Prophercy Tab. children mass choir). I then joined the B.C.B Jr. High School choir.
In 1994, I enrolled in Jones School of Music instructed by Mrs. Jo-Sandra Jones James. For Fours years I was an active member of the Ivanna Eudora Kean Choraliers (High School Concert Choir). From 1996 - 1998 I performed in the VITELCO classical Art Competition. In 1996 I made it to the finals and competed with other teens in St. Croix USVI. Later on that year, I auditioned for Starfest2 (the Virgin Islands local version of Star Search) and was selected. In 1997 I recorded "Respect Jah Jah" with Kelly of the Seventeen Plus Band. From 1998-1999 I sang with Inspirational Expressions of Wesley Methodist Church ( a youth choir in St. Thomas, VI). In the summer of 2000, I had the opportunity to fill in for Ms. Jeanette Rhymer of the StarLites Band due to her absence. In August of that same year, I also had the opportunity to perform with Quito Rymer & The Edge of Tortola, British Virgin Islands who opened for Sean Paul. In 2001, I was an active member of JCSU concert choir (Charlotte, NC) and toured various states, which included singing for the United Negro College Fund's Annual Fund Raiser broadcasted in Los Angeles, CA. In summer 2001, I recorded background vocals with Quito Rymer and the Edge (CD entitled Iron Strong).

In 2003 I had the opportunity to do background vocals for Mother Cedella Marley Booker (Mother of the legendary Bob Marley) and Richie Marley Booker (Marley's Brother) in Miami, FL. Currently I am working on my upcoming album so stay tuned.
