About Me

I was born in the Austrian Empire in Smiljan, Croatia on either the 9th or 10th of July, 1856. Most agree that I was one of the most important inventors in history. I dabbled in everything from physics to electrical engineering. Indeed my patents and theoretical work form the basis of modern alternating current eletrical power systems and that includes the polyphase power distribution system and the AC motor which helped make possible the Second Industrial Revolution...as well as the computer you're using right now. You're welcome. I made my home in America, like so many other geniuses, where my fame eclipsed nearly any other inventor in popular culture - with several notable exceptions (hacks, all.) Sadly, I died impoverished and forgotten on January 7, 1943. I was 86.My legacy is right in front of you.I also found the time to contribute to the fields of robotics, ballistics, computer science, nuclear physics, and theoretical physics. I admit that in my later years I was considered to be somewhat of a mad scientist. No worries. I'm still hailed as "the man who invented the twentieth century."Myspace Graphics
