About Me

We are now accepting entries for the 2009 competition. To enter by email, use the entry form posted on our blog. To enter by mail or online, visit http://www.songwritingcompetition.com/entry.htm
* NOTE: All songs entered from your MySpace page need to remain on your MySpace page for the duration of the competition (until April 15, 2010) so that ISC has access to the songs. Also, if your profile is private, you need to add ISC as a friend :) (myspace.com/isc). It is the entrant's responsibility to make sure the songs are playable. If your song has lyrics please add them to your profile so they may be viewed. If your song becomes a finalist, it will be required that you email ISC an mp3 of the song to be sent to the judges.
"There you are, sitting on your couch, trying to find the remote inside a giant tub of buttered popcorn, hoping that someone will magically bring you another beer from the fridge. "If ambushing your favorite bands with UPS'd cassettes and CD-Rs tossed on stage hasn't gotten your band noticed yet, the 2006 International Songwriting Competition should be right up your alley. Brian Wilson, Tom Waits, Robert Smith, Isaac Brock, and more are all judging the contest. Hell, the ISC is parked in your alley giving away free ice cream."

Check out the video below to see what Grand Prize Winner Scott Leger has to say about winning ISC 2006...
One of the largest songwriting competitions in the world, ISC offers entrants a chance to share in $150,000 in cash and prizes, including an Overall Grand Prize package of $25,000 (US) in cash and over $20,000 in merchandise, unmatched by any other songwriting competition. ISC winners benefit from extensive press and publicity, gaining exposure and recognition from an international music market of industry professionals and fans.
ISC welcomes original songs from musicians, artists, and songwriters at every level from amateur to professional. You may submit as many songs as desired in each category or enter the same song in more than one category.
ISC is unique because of its judges. Since its inception, ISC has been renowned for having the most prestigious judging panel of any competition in the world. Its judges have included high-profile recording artists and respected music executives, such as: Tom Waits, Chris Hillman (The Byrds), Loretta Lynn, Robert Smith (the Cure), Frank Black (Pixies); Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse); Julian Casablancas (The Strokes); Amy Ray (Indigo Girls), Craig Morgan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Cassandra Wilson, Joe Satriani, and many more (see complete list on left side of page). Entering ISC offers you an unprecedented opportunity to have your music heard by these influential members of the music industry.
