BIOGRAPHY OF BABY GIANTMeet Markland Campbell, a.k.a. Baby Giant, born and raised in Kingston, St-Catherine, Jamaica. The oldest of five children, B.G. grew up with his grandmother in the musical community of Gregory Park and Christian Pen, Portmore.This Song Writer, Music editor and Lyricist found his love for music at the age of five, encountering different acts such as CAPTAIN BARKEY, WICK A MAN, TERROR FABULOUS and FRISKO KID. At the age of thirteen, Portmore held a talent show where B.G. first set his foot on stage. Then, at fifteen years old, B.G. moved and resided in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Baby G. sided in a very original environment of music, that of hip hop, generating from his greatest influences, (just to name a few) JACOB MILLER, BURNING SPEAR, PETER TOSH, DENNIS BROWN, BARRINGTON LEVY and GREGORY ISAACS. Those are the artists that he grew up listening to. His father always helped him inherit and maintain his reggae vibes throughout all fazes of cultural Hip hop. This led him to successfully complete the band, HALFSIZEGIANTS, also known as BMW (BLACK, MEXICAN AND WHITE). These three ambitious young men created EP Triple Scoops of BMW followed by their debut album: Cruise Control produced by Mastro Fresh West it was a wrap. The album generated two videos: “First Love, Things Change†and “In The Zoneâ€). His hits (“Get It Made†and “Life Moves Fastâ€) which were both played on radio & televisions across Canada and Jamaica. He recently released a track with ZPN called “Ca-Pass†(SHAKE DAT).The track is being played across CANADA and FRANCE. B.G. won the Best Reggae Artist Award at JAMAICA DAY in Ottawa. He then headed to Jamaica to embrace himself. He was Interviewed By CNN (Television station) recording some tracks entitled “Bomb Rushâ€, “Enemies Approaching†and “Jah, We Keep On Praisingâ€. Markland Also appeared as a host on Much Music, Rap City, MTV, YTV and CBC Several times (in Canada). Toured with Snow, KRS One, Dream Warriors,Naughty By Nature. HE Opened for KEN BOTH, GHOST, JULLY BLACK, KARDINAL OFFISHALL, GENERAL DEGREE, RICHIES STEPHENS, GENERAL B, MR VEGAS, BUSY SIGNAL, MUNGA HONOURABLE, So as u can see BG been working and still working in di Hip-Hop and Reggae world!!!
