And every time, she recognized how much more important charisma was than character.

About Me

bill had been in love once as well. Before he went to fight, he had a girl; he would have asked her to marry him had he not come back a complete lunatic and had his family not lost all their money. Ten years after he had returned he saw the girl, who had once been his quote on quote, true love, on the street, walking to a small restaurant. He closed his eyes, imagining his arm in hers, wondering what his life would be like if he had married her and was about to go eat a nice lunch with his beautiful wife. But now and instead, bill was crazy.

My Interests

Chapter 44
On the train taking her to her new home, the window was fogged, so she sat quietly looking forward; a man, with gray distinctive eyes and a strong face asked if the seats across from her were taken. She smiled, replying that they were not.
And she realized how easy it is to allow another into one’s life. It seems as though the planet’s inhabitants are connected essentially through a very thin line of momentary decisions.
To say hello; to accept a date; to stay at home; to take a detour instead of one’s normal route; to have sex; to decide to leave a bar; to say yes; to allow someone to buy you a drink; to say no; to let someone sit across from you.
And so, for no apparent or compelling reason, the man introduced himself as a Frenchman originally from a small city in the south. His eyes sparkled when he spoke and although his English was broken, his charisma was remarkable.
She spent a week with him and every minute was neither eventful nor uneventful. She could have stayed with the Frenchman and his charismatic smile and his beautiful gray eyes forever.
But now and instead she was going home.
